Forget the Boarding Kennel: It’s Time for a Dog-Friendly Vacation at Brown Hotels

Brown Hotels welcomes dogs (up to 9kg) and proudly offers pet-friendly stays across its boutique locations. Whether you are seeking an urban break in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, or Eilat, or craving nature in the North at Vered HaGalil, you and your pet can enjoy a true getaway together. The message is simple: bring your dog, so neither of you will miss out.

Before You Pack – The Fine Print:
To ensure a perfect stay for both you and our other guests, the Brown Hotels pet policy includes:
  • Weight: Accommodations are available exclusively for small dogs weighing up to 9kg.
  • Cost: A one-time fee of 60 ILS per dog applies (for the entire duration of the stay).
  • Approvals: Pre-approval from the reservations team is mandatory, and a dedicated form must be signed at the front desk upon check-in.
  • Locations: This service is available only at the specific hotels listed below (North, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Eilat).

Packing a Swimsuit and a Suitcase Full of Guilt?

Every dog owner knows this moment: you pull the suitcase out of the closet, and the atmosphere at home instantly shifts. Your dog sits in front of you with that look—a mix of betrayal, sadness, and pleading. You know that for the next few days, they’ll be heading to a less-than-pampering kennel or spending hours waiting for a dog-walker, while you post stories with a cocktail against the sunset.
For years, people have been told that “luxury vacation” and dogs just don’t mix. The common belief was that if you wanted to travel with your furry companion, you had to settle for a basic B&B, a tent, or a room that had seen better days.
At Brown Hotels, we’ve chosen to rewrite the rules. Our approach is that a vacation should feel perfect, light, and carefree for everyone. After all, it’s impossible to fully relax when the one who loves you most is left behind, feeling lonely.

Why the North is the New Paradise for Dogs (and Their Owners)

While Brown Hotels’ reputation for welcoming dogs in Tel Aviv is well established, the real surprise awaits in the North. City dogs may be used to leash walks on city streets, but our northern resort at Vered Hagalil introduces a new kind of freedom for both you and your dog.
Forget the fenced, crowded urban dog park. Here, the moment you open your cabin door, your dog has an entire rural horse ranch to explore—basalt paths winding between trees, wild nature scents from every direction, and clear mountain air overlooking the Sea of Galilee. In short: get ready for tail-wagging on turbo. Is there anything better? You can sip your morning coffee on the private terrace while your dog busies themselves deciphering Galilee’s history through their nose.

Which Brown Hotels in Eilat, Tel Aviv, and Jerusalem Accept Dogs?

Of course, not everyone is looking for a nature retreat. If you prefer a stylish urban vacation among cafes, restaurants, and bustling boulevards, there’s no reason your dog should be left behind. In fact, Israel’s major cities are a paradise for urban dogs, with plenty of dog parks and bars that welcome them with love.
The following is the official list of Brown Hotels where dogs are welcome with you:
Please note: This list contains all Brown Hotels that allow dogs, provided your pet meets the 9kg weight limit, you obtain pre-approval, and sign the dedicated form upon arrival.

Bringing the Dog to the Hotel? Here’s What You Need to Know

A luxury vacation should let you and your dog feel at home while keeping high standards for all guests. That’s why we’ve created a straightforward Code of Conduct:
  1. The Welcome: Your stay is subject to pre-approval and signing a dedicated form at reception. Coordinate your dog’s arrival in advance with the reservations center and the hotel itself. This allows us to prepare, confirm the arrival, ensure your dog meets the 9kg limit, and assign you a suitable room to ease their acclimation.
  2. Public Spaces: In the hotel lobby and public areas, please keep your dog on a leash. This ensures other guests feel comfortable and keeps your dog close and safe.
  3. VIP Areas (No Dogs Allowed): For hygiene and safety reasons, dogs are not permitted in the pool areas, hotel restaurants, or dining rooms. This is their time to take a nap in the air-conditioned room.
  4. Service Dogs: Exempt from all restrictions and permitted to accompany their owners freely throughout the hotel.

The Ultimate Checklist: What to Pack for a Dog-Friendly Vacation?

To ensure your vacation goes smoothly and your photos turn out perfectly, here is the gear you should have in your pup’s bag (beyond the food and water bowls, which we will provide):
  • A Familiar Scent from Home: A favorite blanket, a regular chew toy, or even one of your old t-shirts. Moving to a new environment can be confusing, but a familiar scent significantly lowers anxiety and eases the transition.
  • Updated Vaccination Record: A mandatory document to have on hand during check-in.
  • Harness, Muzzle, and a Comfortable Leash: These are mandatory for walks in the open spaces of the North, city boulevards, and for staying in public hotel areas.
  • Waste Bags: Enough said.
  • Spare Towel: Especially if you’re planning a dip in the springs and streams of the Kinneret. Your dog will come back wet, and a towel from home will help keep your car and hotel room clean and pleasant.
